Meet Carrie Stiles

Carrie Stiles serves as pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wyoming, MN, and is a Certified Spiritual Director with three decades of experience in congregational ministry.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College (1992), a Master of Arts in Children, Youth, and Family Ministries (1994), and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary (2023).

In May 2020, Carrie became a Certified Spiritual Director after completing the Tending the Holy Spiritual Direction program at The Christos Center for Spiritual Formation. She is a member of Spiritual Directors International (SDI), a global educational nonprofit with over 6,600 members in 40 countries dedicated to the practice of spiritual direction and companionship.

While her faith tradition is rooted in Christianity (ELCA Lutheran), Carrie welcomes spiritual companionship from a variety of spiritual backgrounds, including interfaith and spiritual/non-religious practices. She values learning from others about how they connect with the divine and explore their spiritual journeys.
Carrie and her husband, Dale—also an ELCA pastor—have shared a 29-year partnership in both life and ministry, currently serving together at St. Paul Lutheran. They have three young adult children and an eight-year-old golden retriever named Oscar.
